JumpYard Matosinhos

JumpYard Matosinhos opened in November 2023 in Perafita, in the Matosinhos council just north of Porto and close to the airport. The Pumpkin family guide puts it at about 3,500 m² under one roof. It’s the second Portuguese park of a Scandinavian chain; the first is JumpYard Lisboa in Carnaxide. The chain says each park has its own mix, and Matosinhos is the one with an indoor football pitch and a whole soft-play centre, KidsZone, next door.

That second building is what sets Matosinhos apart for families. A toddler can spend the afternoon in soft play while an eight-year-old runs the ninja course, and both are reached from the same car park.

The ticket covers everything except the SkyRider, for as long as your session lasts.

The main court and fast track

The main court is a big field of interconnected trampolines with jump zones and obstacles. Along one side runs a fast track, an extra-long trampoline for tumbling and gymnastics sequences. Padded parkour blocks inside the court let children practise vaults on their own.

The ninja course

Based on American Ninja Warrior, it has a warped wall, a slackline, parallel walls and quad steps, set at different difficulty levels. Trainers are allowed here instead of grip socks.

Clip ’n Climb

Climbing walls in bright colours, with harnesses fitted by staff and included in every ticket. The Pumpkin guide gives the minimum as age 4 and 15 kg.

SkyRider

A ride that swoops over the trampolines, which JumpYard compares to a roller coaster. Riders must be at least 125 cm tall (Pumpkin also gives a top limit of 187 cm). It costs €3 a ride or €7 for three.

Jump tower, foam pit and Battle Beams

The Jump Tower lets you drop from platforms at different heights onto a huge airbag. In the foam pit children practise tricks and land on their backs or bottoms; above it are the Battle Beams, where two players try to knock each other off a rotating cylinder.

Performance area and reflex games

The Performance Area is for confident jumpers, with wall running and a Super Tramp high-performance trampoline. Cardio Jump is a reflex game where you slap lights that appear at random on a wall. Valo TV projects augmented-reality games, such as football and air hockey, onto a trampoline.

Indoor football

Only the Matosinhos park has this: an artificial-turf pitch of about 7 by 13 metres, playable all year.

KidsZone Matosinhos sits beside JumpYard and is reached through its car park. JumpYard calls it the largest soft-play park in Portugal. Inside there are slides, mazes, ball pools and other age-grouped play, with separate Baby Zones for children under two, who have their own FunTime Baby ticket.

The rules are stricter than in the trampoline park. A responsible adult must stay for the whole visit, and every ticket includes one adult (18 or over). Everyone wears socks; shoes and bare feet aren’t allowed in the play areas, and the KidsZone page says grip socks aren’t recommended there.

KidsZone keeps its own hours: from 6 October, weekdays 15:00 to 20:00, and weekends, school holidays and public holidays 10:00 to 21:00. Prices are shown on its website. The monthly Yard Pass (€50 when checked) gives one entry a day on weekdays to either JumpYard or KidsZone.

When checked in September 2026, a one-hour JumpTime ticket started from €12, with extra hours at €8. On weekdays outside school and public holidays, two hours cost the same as one. JumpFamily covers four people, one or two of them adults, from €36 an hour. On Friday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00, a three-hour Super Session was €14. Groups of ten or more get €2 off each.

JumpYard is open Monday to Thursday 10:00 to 21:00, Friday until 22:00 and weekends 10:00 to 21:00, with no break at lunchtime. Sessions last 60 minutes and start at fixed times. Booking isn’t compulsory, but it’s the safest way to get the hour you want. You pay online by card or MB Way, and only by card at the park.

• Minimum age for JumpYard is 3.
• Under-12s must have an adult on site. An adult who doesn’t pay must wait inside the building.
• From 12, children can come on their own, though parents remain responsible.
• Grip socks are compulsory on the trampolines: €3 on the first visit, reusable afterwards. Other brands are fine in good condition.
• Wear sports clothes; long sleeves and joggers are suggested.
• Free lockers are available. Bring a padlock or buy one for €3.
• No outside food or drink.
• Arrive 15 minutes early, or 30 minutes for a group or party.

The Pumpkin guide describes comfortable seating overlooking the main arena, so you can watch without jumping, and a mezzanine viewing area in KidsZone. It also says there’s plenty of parking beside the building. The JumpYard site doesn’t list a restaurant, so plan meals around the visit.

Parties started from €17 per child when checked. The birthday child must be at least 4 and you need at least six participants. Allow a little over two hours: 30 minutes to check in, an hour of jumping, 30 minutes in the party room, and time for SkyRider rides if you’ve added them. Rooms take up to 25 people. Cancellations need seven days’ notice.

Trampoline parks are noisy, and the weekend and holiday sessions are the fullest. Children who find that overwhelming will cope better on a weekday. KidsZone’s weekday hours start at 15:00 in term time, so a morning visit with a toddler only works at weekends or in the holidays.

The Farol de Leça lighthouse and the Museu dos Bombeiros fire-engine museum are both in Leça da Palmeira, a short drive south. SEA LIFE Porto and the Parque da Cidade are on the coast road towards the city.

Is JumpYard Matosinhos good for toddlers?

Children under 3 can’t use the trampoline park, but KidsZone next door takes ages 0 to 12 and has Baby Zones for under-2s. Three-year-olds can use JumpYard with a ticket.

Do parents have to stay at JumpYard Matosinhos?

Yes, for children under 12. In KidsZone an adult has to stay with the child the whole time, whatever their age.

How long is a session?

Sessions are 60 minutes. On weekdays outside the holidays you get two hours for the one-hour price.

Is there parking?

Yes. The park has its own car park, which KidsZone shares.

Can you play football at JumpYard Matosinhos?
