Lisbon has the big names, the Oceanário and the zoo, but it also has a museum full of puppets, a tram museum where you ride a 1901 tram between the halls, an aquarium from 1898 with a king's collection of preserved sea creatures, and a free city farm. Out in Cascais there are peacocks in the park and surf camps on Carcavelos beach. Several places here run holiday clubs where you can leave children for the day.
