Indoors there is a large multi-level soft play frame with slides, climbing nets and obstacle runs, plus a maze. The toddler area is upstairs and kept separate from the big frame. It has role-play corners, including a pretend supermarket and a play café, so under-threes are not dodging older children coming down the slides.

The garden outside is big and shaded. The centre owns ten bouncy castles and rotates which ones are up, so a return visit may look different. There are also ride-on toys, play houses and a water table, which is the busiest spot on a hot day.

The centre says its play areas are designed for children aged 11 and under, and its FAQs describe the best fit as ages 2 to 11. A mixed family of a toddler and a ten-year-old can both be busy at the same time.

The kitchen prepares fresh meals every day. On the menu dated March 2026, the kids’ section runs from €6.50 to €9.50 and includes homemade chicken nuggets with homemade chips and coleslaw, a mini burger, fish and chips, a chicken steak with chips or rice, and a sausage roll. Plain butter pasta (€9) is listed on the main menu as “a kids favourite”, and you can choose spaghetti, penne or fettuccine.

Pizzas start at €11.50 for a margherita, with toppings at €2 each or three for €5. Grilled toasties with ham, cheese or tuna are €8 and come with salad and crisps. There are also burgers (including a vegan one), wraps, baguettes, salads, hummus and soup. For treats the website lists popcorn, ice cream and smoothies, and the drinks list includes a babyccino.

Adults get speciality coffee from Al-Gharb Coffee Roasters, beer, wine and cocktails. A few dishes, such as the club sandwich, are served on weekdays only.

A day of play costs €15 for each child aged 1 to 11, and babies under one go in free. On the pricing page, anyone aged 12 and over pays €5 and gets it back as a €5 food and drink voucher for the same day. The FAQs say adults go in free, so check at the desk which applies. Over-12s may only go on the equipment to look after a younger child, and no more than two adults can go into the play areas with each child.

You cannot bring your own food or drink, apart from baby food (staff will heat it) and birthday cakes. Pack socks for the indoor frame. You do not need to book to play.

Adults stay with their children the whole time; this is not a drop-off centre. Upstairs is a quieter seating area with free wifi where parents can sit or work, and the building is air-conditioned.

The centre is on the N125 just outside Alcantarilha, a few minutes from the A22 motorway, so a car is the easy way in. By the centre’s own estimates it is about 10 to 12 minutes from Lagoa, 15 from Albufeira or Silves, 20 to 25 from Portimão, 30 from Lagos and 35 to 40 from Faro.

It is closed on Mondays and stays open later on Friday and Saturday evenings, which makes it a possible early-dinner stop. The FAQs mention showing football matches, so expect more adults watching the screen on big match days.

Birthday parties and school groups are booked by email or phone; prices are not published online.

Aqualand Algarve is also at Alcantarilha, on the same road, if you want water slides in summer. Armação de Pêra’s Encontro das Gerações park, with its mini road circuit, is a short drive towards the coast, and Sand City near Lagoa has more than 120 giant sand sculptures.

How much does Adventure HQ cost?

€15 per child aged 1 to 11 for the whole day, when checked in September 2026. Under-ones are free. The pricing page charges over-12s €5, which comes back as a food and drink voucher.

Is Adventure HQ good for toddlers?

Yes. There is a separate toddler floor upstairs with role-play toys, and the garden has ride-on toys and a water table.

Do I need to book?

No, you can just turn up to play. Book ahead only for birthday parties and groups.

Can I bring a picnic?

No. Outside food is not allowed, except baby food and birthday cakes.

Can I leave my children there?

No. Parents stay on site and supervise their own children.
